Trucking Accident Expert Witnesses
Legal proceedings that are the result of a collision, an injury on the job, or any dispute associated with the operation of a motor carrier tractor trailers, or any other commercially classified vehicle, become extremely complex the majority of the time. The individual vehicles have varying characteristics. The owners and the operators of these vehicles perform varying and potential multiple roles including but not limited to operating jurisdiction, type of carrier, distance traveled, size and/or type of commodity/cargo hauled. All of which must be considered in order to properly assess and apply the standards of care that are pertinent the facts associated with a specific collision or other dispute.
Industry employers are required to be knowledgeable and comply with the applicable Federal DOT standards. It can be especially difficult to identify contributing factors of a collision if you're a jurist naive of the motor carrier industry. The important thing needed is discernment of the issues, especially when identifying preventability or the contributing factors for the collision.
An ability to understand and, more importantly, provide clear real-world explanations of the finer details of the business practices, equipment operations, regulatory and industry standards, are essential elements in the handling of these types of cases.
